Before Your Cold Plunge

Getting ready for your first Cold Plunge Therapy session?

Here’s what you need to know!

General Info

If you're new to ice baths, start with a shorter duration (about 3-5 minutes). Over time, you can gradually increase the time as your body adjusts to the cold.

For optimal results, wear a swimsuit or comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement while immersed in the cold water.

Drink plenty of water before and after your ice bath to stay hydrated, as cold immersion can lead to dehydration.

FAQs

We understand that Cold Plunge Therapy can be a new experience for many, and you may have some questions before your first session.

What temperature is the cold plunge set to?

Our plunge is maintained between 8–12°C (46–54°F) — the optimal range for stimulating circulation, reducing inflammation, and providing a safe yet invigorating experience.

How long should I stay in the plunge?

Beginners may start with 1–2 minutes per immersion. Experienced clients often build up to 3–5 minutes. Short, repeated plunges with breaks in between are also effective. Always listen to your body — exit if you feel numbness, dizziness, or discomfort.

How often should I cold plunge?

Many people benefit from 2–4 sessions per week, though daily plunges are safe for those who tolerate them well.

Is it safe for everyone?

Cold plunging is generally safe, but people with heart conditions, uncontrolled high blood pressure, respiratory issues, or pregnancy should consult their doctor before participating.
